The QBF is different, the brass want it to look good for the Queen and the other royals. Also you get types thrown together that don't often get to do formation work. One of the reasons the Reds & BBMF never take part in the practice, formation work is their bread and butter

There might be a practice but it'll be in or on one of the towlines If it's different. If it's a KC-135 and fast jets like I expect (With a C-130 leading) it'll be no different to a trail or an average day in AARA8 other than a F-16 is thrown in the mix.

Some flightplans for arrivals were posted last year weren't they? But just the day before I think.

That would be nice, even if they send something for Static.

The Wing Commander they speak of is the old OC of XV(r).....

Have RIAT saved the best until the week before?

Fingers crossed!

I won't hold my breath. But no harm in wishing/dreaming...

Edit, the two serials quoted for the Flankers are the same two that visited Malta last year, JFAYI.

They're also the same 2 airframes that did the last Keskemet, Hradec Kralove & pretty much everywhere they've ever showed-up.
I'm more excited about seeing the Pigs formation escorting them into Fairford!!

The PC-9M is a random entry in that line up - or is that just because I've not seen it display alone before? Would've thought we'd see the Rafale, Gripen, Hornet, Tornado or the Midnight Hawks (I know we will at some point from Wednesday onwards, just not advertised??).

Ahhhh, it is nice to be picky with such a good line up for the weekend, it is still a great set.

One week to go...

It looks like the first arrival has 'touched down', albeit at Brize, apparently the Canadian CH147 has just arrived at Brize aboard C17 177704!
