Can we please get back to the topic in hand
I don't wish to clog up the thread any further, so please feel free to PM me about this if better to do so. May I ask why he was banned? I didn't see anything he did within this thread that warranted a ban. His posts seemed well balanced and respectful without stepping over any line.

Instead of doing exactly the opposite of what you said, why not copy and paste that into a PM to send him yourself?? Much easier.

Because I prefer for things like this to be out in the open rather than talking about others behind closed doors. It isn't fair to them. You think opposite though, I suppose.

I've pm' d you RubyRoo
But for openess and hopefully the last word on MarkyMarkB, we (The staff) after reading his posts and several pms from him. We unanimously agreed he going to cause nothing but agro and wouldn't accept the staff decisions

Thanks Gary for the response and PM. I can't say I ever saw anything ban worthy from him, but I accept the staff reasoning and that's that. I won't say any more on the matter.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
Last comment from me on the subject. Sometimes it's better to nip the problem in the bud early, we all felt it would be an on going issue to leave him on the forum from what he kept saying in pm's.
Back to the topic, a nice update today. 11 C-130s lined up would look great. Always good to have another F-16 static too

Also understand your thinking there - guess this can also work

Another good update - impressive to see so many C-130’s!
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
Not as impressive as the 25 C-130's lined up at Greenham in 1979.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
How many were at IAT 94?
I seem to remember a very very long line of C130s.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
After a quick count on the Scramble database - 36? Does not say though whether any in the flying display operating from another base
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
If I have counted correctly from the IAT 94 check list, 35 static plus a Swedish Tp84 Northside.

Update posted today
We are absolutely delighted that, following its recent arrival in the UK, the Royal Air Force's newest stealth fighter jet, the Lightning II F-35B is scheduled to take part in flypasts on all three days of the Air Tattoo! Read the full announcement HERE!
At around 2:15pm on Friday a special flypast featuring around 50 aircraft from the RAF will provide a stunning aerial celebration to mark 100 years of the Royal Air Force. This flypast will include many of the RAF's operational aircraft such as the new Lighting, Typhoons, Tornado GR4s, an A400M Atlas, the Red Arrows, plus Puma and Chinook helicopters, accompanied by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Lancaster, Spitfires and Hurricanes flying in formation.
The RAF will also stage RAF100 themed flypasts on both Saturday and Sunday and this will include a diamond nine of RAF Typhoons and a special '617 Squadron Tribute' of BBMF Lancaster, Tornado GR4 and the new Lightning jet. See HERE for a full list of aircraft!
As part of our global salute to RAF100, on Friday the Queen's Colour Squadron will parade the newly presented Queen's Colour in front of HRH The Duke of Kent (Patron to the RAF Charitable Trust) and HRH Prince Michael of Kent. This will take place at 10.30am and will be broadcast live to screens in the Vintage Village and Green Service Station at the event, as well as around the world on our Live Stream service. Sign up HERE.
HRH The Duke of Kent, accompanied by the Chief of the Air Staff will then conduct a Royal Review of Aircraft from the Royal Air Force and Commonwealth Countries, thanking serving personnel and RAF veterans for their service. HRH Prince Michael of Kent will also carry out a review of aircraft and aircrew that have travelled from around the world to take part in this momentous occasion.
Don't miss out on this special celebration just one week away! There are some tickets left for Friday and Sunday but with this fantastic announcement they won't be around for long!

The Japanese Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) today confirmed their attendance at RIAT 2018 with the newly built Kawasaki C-2 transporter! This will be the aircraft’s first visit to the Air Tattoo and we are thankful to our friends in Japan for supporting the RAF’s 100th anniversary with this amazing addition!
