Hi this is my first post here. Do fellow enthusiasts on here feel that given the theme for this years show the usaf participation a little light?

Always is, at this point.

I'd expect to see more in the way of USAF participation in June.

47 days til I go the greatest show on earth and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm doing arrivals for the first time and I will be at p&v East with a friend.
I am curious to know whether the bone and buff are likely to arrive before Wednesday arrivals?

I'd expect both the 'Buff' and 'Bone' to be one of the first, if not the first arrivals on Wednesday morning. :)

But I understand that there is an exercise before riat and I recall there was an article in the press the assets attending might stay for the show so it there is a possibility that they might already be there.

The Americans confirm more aircraft for RIAT 2017! We can confirm two CV-22B Ospreys from RAF Midenhall, one static and one flying; two static F-16Cs from 480 Fighter Squadron; a static C-17A from 701 Airlift Squadron; an MC-130J again from Mildenhall and finally the US Navy confirms a P-8A Poseidon for the static park. :thumb:

i'm afraid even if the entire usaf turned up it still won't be enough for some.

It'd be enough for the tarmac, though. ;)

Nice little update. I suspect some will be disappointed with the majority of those being static and not a little more of them put into the flying programme.

It appears that Raf Scampton has confirmed a CF-188 for the static park what are your opinions on whether we could get one at riat?
