Hi Paul
I was going to ask this question, you just beat me to it : :)
I haven't been for a few years, but have purchased a 4day ticket & really look forward to it. I have a seat in the stand and I'm staying in Kempsford Village
but not sure of the general set up there or where would be a good place to meet. Any ideas of a possible meeting place ?

I don't know about that one I will have to have a cheek on their site as last time I saw it had I think 5 eurofighters on the static in the raf section

With no US participation airside, I hope our American friends are still running the P&V bbq tent this year.

It was confirmed on RIATs Twitter, that they would not be running the P&V BBQ

Me and my dad are departures day virgins and we know about the P&V's and stuff and are camping nearby but just wondering does anyone know what sort of time departures will start to happen? I know it probably can't be answered with a definate answer but just wondered as of when to get to leave for a spot. :)

Cheers

Yep, for the departures, does anyone know if in the past they have used RWY 27 regardless of an Easternly wind?

Just thinking of which spot to go to! Cheers! :)
I vaguely remember one year (1991?) with practically nil wind, they used both ends for departures, mind you in them days, there were lots of planes to get rid of in a short space of time, they don't have that pressure this year! And a few years big stuff parked at the western end has departed from that end despite most launching from the east (I have nice climb out shots of the KS ANG 135, buff, Il76 etc!)

I will be there Sunday on my own & Monday with my father. I've only got standard tickets (both days) this year so will be around the crowd line all day :)

Local news site is saying there will be a A380 with the Reds at some point at the show.

It's on the previous page of this thread and on the air tattoo website.

Any chance of the USAF now attending? A b-1 and b-52 display would more than make up for the cancellations

Is it too late for a few aircraft from Lakenheath and Mildenhall to attend though ? http://www.acc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123355835
