Well last time I looked the Ukraine was north-east of the UK, more specifically north-east of Fairford. Yeovilton is in completely the opposite direction!

But something of that size would probably have to be vectored to avoid conflicting traffic? A ULS airbus was also inbound to Brize at the time they came over.
BECAUSE TYPING IN LOWER CASE WOULD BE EASY.............

Fair point, obviously they've come up from the south via the (U)T420, rather than the normal way from the Ukraine through Belgium then via the (U)L9.

(And I'm sure it was further north the last time I looked! :P)
