Like some of us oldies, haven't been since the Russian Bears. Thursday then was a fantastic day. Absolutely non-stop throughout the day. After all, in those days one could count 450 aircraft on the ground......... :)
I remember those days!!

still don't see why they chose a different theme last year to the one that was announced the previous year( and didn't happen due to covid)

as it was "fighters", could it be it changed due to not being able to secure many(fighter),therefor had to chance to "trainers"

lets face it, as much as I enjoyed 2022, it was a bit of a heli and prop fest.

See I don't know - I enjoyed the Heli fest last year! Some really good displays and some that I'd never seen before :D

Fingers crossed for maybe an Alaskan tanker or 2!

As for the theme for next year's show it is still TBA but based off the past few years with last year being Trainers and the year before being ISTAR and Maritime Patrol and the year before that being Airpower (Fighters etc) I wonder if next year's theme will be Tankers and transports? (just a thought probably wrong  )

Lucky guess :thumb:

Because themes aren't just plucked out of thin air on a whim and can take years of planning with support from air arms, sponsors etc.

Do the German air force still use the A310? If so it would be good to see that.
