Romania added to the ongoing discussions, Wonder if we will get their F-16s after all?
Yes The Dutch Dude was spot on about the 4 F-16s, He said that 1 on them will have a special tail a few weeks back.

Agreed - fantastic to see the F-16 line growing well. The CC-295 is a terrific addition - especially in that cracking yellow scheme.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
With the Slovakian C27J added today I was wondering if their new shiny F-16 Block 70's will swing by on delivery. I believe they are due to be delivered mid 2024 so July is about right. Wishful thinking I know but RIAT did say the F16 line up would be old right up to new F-16's. If Romania USAFE and Morocco bring there's it will be one epic lineup. Sadly never to be repeated apart from with F35's in the future. Bulgaria being on the ongoing list made me think of F16's but I just realised they don't receive them till 2027 SU25's...

Great additions to static.
CC295 is a cracking addition. I've still not gotten to see the Irish Air Corps new one.

Fingers crossed for Canadian C-17 that was very nice to see in 2018?
I am really looking forward to a full weeks volunteering with Park and View team again this year can’t wait
Just hoping and praying for better weather and not the monsoon that descended on the Friday ,literal rivers on the static line (when I was walking the static line on my day of on the Friday )

Must have missed that harder to keep track of now the flashing light system is no longer on the aircraft updates page on RIAT website.airtyphoon wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 11:09 amRomania has been on the list for a couple weeks, the Finnish Army was added to ongoing today.Red-Eye-Knight wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 10:50 amRomania added to the ongoing discussions, Wonder if we will get their F-16s after all?

Finnish Army will probably be an NH-90 but I'd like to be proved wrong.

Credit to yourself and every other volunteer you are all always so welcoming and full of energy even on the bad rainy days.
Yes hopefully the weather is better this year the weather from 2022 would be great clear sunny skies all week long.

The Canadian C-17 bought the Chinook in 2017 and the next year a Griffon.

Slovak F-16s are not due in Slovakia until 2016. The initial delivery will be to Tucson to join the overseas training unit there.thevulcan wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 12:20 pmWith the Slovakian C27J added today I was wondering if their new shiny F-16 Block 70's will swing by on delivery. I just hope it does not rain during IAT. I hate to stand out in the rain. Does anyone know the history of light to heavy rains during the last several IATs?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
2023 - Biblical rain on Friday. Grandstands evacuated on Saturday due to Thunder and lightning (just missed Fairford though), several heavy showers. One heavy downpour on the Sunday lasting about 20 minutes
2022 - Absolutely scorching heat all weekend and not a cloud to be seen in blue skies.
2019 - Very good weekend aside from a wet Friday
2018 - Rain on Friday caused RAF100 Flypast to be cancelled, rest of the weekend was fine.
2017 - Rain caused some of the early Saturday displays to cancel. Some went up and had to abort. SeaKing had perfect weather for its S&R demo (wet) F22 didn't go up in afternoon due to low cloud but Sunday was fine.
