The United Kingdom has...?
Yes, but United Kingdom isn't considered international in the United Kingdom ;)

Maybe not, however one would simply add "United States or United Kingdom" at the end...as for everyone else we would be international ;)

But how can the UK be an international participant at a show in the UK? When someone reading the website is from is irrelevant.

But the UK is international by definition of the word, so one would say that it is the first appearance of F-35's outside of the US & UK.

P.S. don't take it too seriously ;)

The wording could have been better in the original piece by DBH. Give it a couple of years and

Has there ever been a RAF one on static? This show is actually starting to look decent. I love the f-35 so the more that turn up the better.

The thought of a nice sprinkling of tankers and anything they may or may not drag with them. Italian and German tonkas alongside some F4's from Turkey or Greece. Would just about top this show off as being the best in a decade in my eyes. I know this post is a bit wishlist like but so far this show is looking like an absolute cracker. Can't wait to head over for 6 days again.

Yes some Tornados from either Italy or Germany would be very, very welcome.

I think the show looks cracking so far. The Italian 100th is being celebrated wonderfully.

Nighthawke at the minute yes it’s still looking poor & I’m considering saving myself best part of a grand! Although if there are some good updates it’ll be like the 2019 show which I thought was great!

Sometimes all you need is migs, phantoms, su-22’s & a decent amount of US fighters & bombers to make RIAT like IAT days.
I’m seeing some serious aircraft at the open days in Greece so who knows!

L.. lo… looking poor? :grr:

We have Spanish and Italian AV8’s, an Me262 in the flying and the Metrea tanker, to name just a few. Not to mention, there are many updates left, and ongoing air forces that have the potential to show such as:

- Saudi
- UAE
- Zambia
- Pakistan

Saudi and UAE will both be 330’s most likely, Zambia C27 and Pakistan probably either C130, or if they follow SKYTANKER, we might be lucky and get an IL78.

Also, for the people that think the show is poor, do you guys seriously expect RIAT Ops to pull things from Uzbekistan and other nations like that every year? They do very well each year to put on RIAT.

That’s all I’ve gotta say.

If rumours are true, both Saudi and UAE will be in the flying with display teams.

As I recall, the Saudi Hawks are no longer welcome here due to an incident last time they were here. Not public information of course so not proven.
Plus didn't RIAT say there wasn't anymore display teams to be announced, or did I dream that!?

Though there was an significant issue last time they were here (quite a while ago now) I'm not sure they would not be welcomed back. They also have attended the CAA/MAA Flying Display Symposiums a few times (including this year) since so have maintained good relations in the UK. And that may have improved further recently with their new RAF advisor.

Flying wise at least they have come on leaps and bounds since their last UK appearances.
