Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2016 Discussion Thread
You'd imagine that a C-5 or a few C-17's will be supporting the F-35's. Hopefully they can be tempted into the static park along with tanker support and some LN F-15's.
The static park could definitely use some more heavy items and filling out. Still a few weeks left!
My wish list would be to see the F/A-18E/F take part.

Static looking a lot healthier. I would love to see a EA18G and/or an E2 from the USN. B1/B52/C5 would be icing on the cake. Still at least a couple of updates to go.

That's a good point, You would think they would have an F18 at Farnborough and thus RIAT,
Have Lakenheath committed anything yet also?
Thanks

Just noticed this in the RIAT email sent out today, hints at BAE Systems Tiffie(s) coming?
Also at the show will be a number of their Eurofighter Typhoons - both in the air and on the ground

Just over 3 weeks to go folks!
Hearing that Pat de Suisse have been given the OK to fly as a 5 ship from 19th June so hopefully they'll still be at RIAT! (Not sure on authenticity but been mentioned over on UKAR)
Only a few updates left - maybe it's me but think we're still going to get a few more awesome updates - saved the best till last.
Maybe full confirmation of the full US attendance this week to keep everyone happy and sell the remaining tickets? Then the week after Morocco confirmed along with the surprise Israeli F-15/F-16 combo I'm hoping for?
Just to make it a magical last update Japan on the run up week confirming the P-1 again along with a few F-4s?
Realistic enough surely!?

If they can manage to get a B-1, B-52 & C-5 on static + some other US stuff then I really do think this could be the best RIAT for a fair few years! 2012 is the last one that really stands out in recent years and I think it could surpass that! Here's hoping we get that plus more

As there were two "DM" A10's at last years show, hoping at least one of the six Michigan A-10's deployed Latvia might come over.

and on Met office website
UK Outlook for Tuesday 5 Jul 2016 to Tuesday 19 Jul 2016:
A westerly regime appears to be the most likely scenario, with high pressure close to southern parts and lower pressure in the north. Given this set-up, the weather is likely to remain rather changeable with spells of dry and fine weather interspersed by wetter and windier conditions. The north and northwest are likely to see more in the way of this unsettled weather, whilst the south and southeast are likely to see the greater share of the drier and more settled periods. Temperatures are likely to continue around average for the time of year, though turning warm during the fine weather and perhaps rather cool during the unsettled spells.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2016 Discussion Thread
So the metoffice is forecasting exactly the same weather expected every year in July. That is, mostly westerly, changeable with spells of dry and fine weather interspersed by wetter and windier conditions and it will be slightly colder and wetter in the north. Temperatures around average but getting warmer during the fine spells; they must be having a laugh!!welshandy wrote:UK Outlook for Tuesday 5 Jul 2016 to Tuesday 19 Jul 2016:andrew b wrote:i notice that parts of the airfield are flooded .i sincerely hope and prey the weather calms down or we could see a repeat of 2008 .would be ironic that was the year of the raptor debut and now its the debut of the lightning 11 it may be de ja vous .lets hope it stops raining soon .

We fund this garbage and they publish exactly the same forecast (that a 10 year old could do) every year. Ignore it all and just check it 3 days out.
