Presuming the (x2) on the Gripens is one flying + one spare as opposed to both flying?

Had hoped for the Alien Tiger Hind. But good support from the Czechs

Great news about the latest additions. I do have to admit that I have a small niggle at the back of my head though.
Last year RIAT confirmed that there were around 230 aircraft that participated in the event. With around 30 confirmed that means that over the next 14 weeks we will need around 14 aircraft confirmed each week to reach the 230 that were at Fairford in 2016. Hopefully this means plenty of aircraft being confirmed over the weeks to come. A very big fingers crossed.

I guarantee that if you count the aircraft announced in each update it doesn't come near the 230 that were actually at the show. The amount in the weekly updates rarely equals the full show content and is, quite frankly meaningless in the grand scheme of things. It's just there to whet the appetite. You also have to take into account that the 230 odd aircraft includes the multiple a/c from the display teams too. Stop reading so much into these updates and concerning yourself with things like 'they will need to confirm 14 per week'. The show will happen, the aircraft will come, they just might not be in an official update! :thumb:

Yay! Gripen confirmed!

Did the Saturday tickets sell out around April last year, pretty sure I recall DBH announcing it around then. Only asking as we're nearly into April and sounds like there's still loads up for grabs...Maybe Thunderbirds are not as attracting as the flying wheelie bin!

Oh dear, seems I can't have an opinion any more. Dear oh Dear. First line actually was a compliment, it started "Great News" if I may point out without being shot down.
I have also been to every show since late 80's and enjoyed them all. I reserve my tickets way in advance and count the days down to the show getting more excited as each one take us closer. Sorry to offend, nothing meant, just a point of view which happened to be aired in part jest, but hey I have learned my lesson.

At no point did I say you weren't entitled to your opinion, I was merely proffering mine which I am also entitled to air!  Don't be so quick to get offended, there was none meant hence the smiley at the end!

Believe the schedule released is specifically for displays in Italy.

That's a shame, hope to see them elsewhere this year.

Last year I recall someone mentioning a possible Luftwaffe Phantom this year for static....Has that died of death or is this still a possibility?

Ex-Luftwaffe, though as it hasn't flown yet id say the Vulcan return was more likely.

Cheers 7, did think it seemed a distant possibility when I heard it. Clutching at straws really!
