Turkish trip already cleared through the bank manager! (wife  )
Too right! Mrs Urkles has given me the green light and will be booking the flights soon, and will try to do some W&R hopefully. One surprise is that Greece has already confirmed attendance :S nice to see though

Had an email off Marion confirming FRIAT prices won't rise  good news no reason to rush and get my ticket before Christmas
Why an F-16, why not a JF-17 or one of their Mirage 5s - Pakistan has a larger air force than we do now with many, many goodies with in it!
95% of which would never visit the uk...im afraid im very much in the frame of mind that if you want to see exotic, you need to travel these days. The Hungarian airshow proved that
More like 99%, but we have now had two JF-17s, one P-3, an L-100 and a Beech King Air all visit the UK at some point in the last five years. All of which are more interesting than a grey F-16!
You want the Aladeen news, or the Aladeen news?

Got an email from RIAT today and this bit is quite interesting...
Air forces from countries in the Middle East, Europe and the former Soviet bloc are the first to confirm their participation in next year's Royal International Air Tattoo –

We want you to send us the names of the three countries you believe have already agreed to take part in RIAT 2011. One comes from the Middle East, one from Western Europe and one from the former Soviet bloc
:) Polish again i wonder?

"We want you to tell us the first 3 countries..." Translation: the Turkish show is going to wipe the floor with us, but what can we try to get so enthusiasts will come here aswell! I only live 20 miles away from Fairford and I'm seriously considering only one arrival day and maybe departures this year.

Bit of sales ploy going out,
tempting you to buy an early bird ticket or mach pass,

Like Pikeys post above, would be cheaper to go to Turkey,
can see RIAT 2011 being a bit thin on the ground this year.

Interesting that Riat have asked that Friat members do NOT post aircraft updates as soon as they appear in the Friat section on any forums...good luck with that one

I think it's more than optomistic , seeing as how the newsletter on there is the still the same one from 2009 !! And I don't recall seeing any updates on the "Secret Squirrel" pages last year either!!

Anyone had trouble buying tickets off the RIAT website? Been trying to finally purchase my FRIAT ticket and the site seems to be playing up? Seems to be an annual thing, always seen to have a problem... Guess they don't want my money

The prize is for FRIAT passes for 2012  so you might as well still give it a go

Belgium, Oman and Romania looks a good call though

I'll go for Polish Orliks, the Frecce, and the Royal jordanian Falcons. That'll entice us.

If it's something from Oman, it'd be nice to see some pointy things as well as the C-130 this year :thumb:

The new A320s would be nice and all :)
