I can't personally recall there being American caterers (I would've been at front of queue) but understand it was commonplace back in the day. With stringent licencing laws to adhere to these days, it's likely not as easy as it once was. Probably more trouble than it's worth to obtain a permit.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Absolutely, if you go to anywhere with a captive audience, RIAT, Silverston, Football, Motorway service station you have to accept you will pay more for what ever you buyJames Cutting wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 1:18 pmNo I get your point and that is fair enough. Think you're paying for the convenience of it too. But I expect it and therefore factor it into spending costs.

I don't think the USAF 'vendors' have been at any IAT/RIAT since the late 70's. There were IAT's at Fairford in '85 and '87, and a non-IAT USAF Open House in '86. They were at the '86 event, but not the '85 or '87.NiceGuyEddie wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 1:36 pmI can't personally recall there being American caterers (I would've been at front of queue) but understand it was commonplace back in the day. AIUI RIAT charge the vendors a pitch price, and also set the agreed prices for most food - it's printed in the program isn't it? There are probably legal reasons why the USAF cannot bid to have food stalls, and even if they did the prices would still be determined by RIAT.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 - General Discussion Thread
Jordanian C130 has a special livery as normal.
