Last Chance to Pay by Instalments - Book to Attend in 2018 as a Friend of RIAT!

This is your last chance to become one of our Friends of RIAT (FRIAT) for the 2018 Air Tattoo and pay by 6 instalments!

To book one of our 2 day, 4 day or 6 day FRIAT Packages you will need to complete a booking form, available HERE. If you wish to pay by Standing Order the form must be with us no later than Friday 18 August. After this date payments must be made in full.

If you are an overseas customer and would like to take advantage of this offer, unfortunately we cannot set up a Standing Order with your bank; however, we can take your card number and charge your card at the end of each month (6 payments).

Please note - When paying by instalments, if more than two consecutive payments are missed, your booking will automatically be cancelled along with any priority seating. The first payment will be taken at the end of October 2017 and the last payment will be taken at the end of March 2018.

Loyalty discount from 2018

The FRIAT loyalty discount will automatically be applied to anyone who bought a FRIAT package for 2017.

2017 FRIAT membership sold out in January this year and 2018 looks set to sell out even faster! If haven't already and you wish to renew your membership for 2018 we would recommend doing this before it's too late.

I do wish they would send some sort of confirmation when the booking form is received, perhaps just an e-mail. Instead we have to sit and wait and hope it arrived OK.

Confirmation is due to be sent out in October, confirmed by Wendy in a phone call a couple of days ago.

This is my first year trying to pay by installments but I've had to shuffle sufficient funds over from other accounts to pay outright just in case, due to the uncertainty ( did they get my form? when does it start? ). Which makes the whole arrangement rather pointless.

Really baffling why they can't communicate better. They have to key all the info into the system anyhow ( due to relying on archaic paper forms... ) so why doesn't that trigger an outbound confirmation?

They never usually send much info out, should get a letter soon with the bank details on, with in the next week I would predict. They usually ask for the cash around the around 27-28 of each month.

Good guess my me just had a email regarding the standing charge payment. Payments on the 27th of each month

Yes all set up, Wendy and her team are working through the FRIAT Members in the order that the booking forms were handed out.

Anyone else receive a email from FRIAT yesterday, saying their standing charge hasn't been received?

Hi Gary

I've had an email every month to that affect. I was told the problem would be resolved when they managed to track down the first payment. I believe they duplicated my booking. I emailed Wendy last night but have not had a reply yet.

I just wonder if they have just been a bit overwhelmed as it sold out so quick.

That seems to be an across the board thing, had the same email. Called Wendy and she said it was all fine and the email sent in error! Had a right panic that we'd end up losing the tickets

Me too, several in fact. The last one was for Dec. I will be disappointed if I don't get one this month At least there is a paper trail!

January's money went out, so far no email from Wendy

U2 tickets I got last week were £210 make the FRIAT ticket at £230 a bargain

An update regarding FRIAT, for the ones who missed out this year

Dear FRIAT Member

We were delighted when the FRIAT Enclosure sold out so early for RIAT 2018 however we discovered that although we had tried to make people aware of the situation a number of previous 2017 FRIAT members unfortunately missed out due to this unprecedented demand.

We have spent several months evaluating the viability of adding additional grandstand capacity that would not detract from the experience of those that had already booked.

The result of this is that we have established that up to 100 additional seats can be added to the grandstand at the west end which will accommodate some 2017 FRIAT members that have already expressed an interest in being on a waitlist, should other members cancel.

My earlier communication regarding cancellations still applies, please contact me on friat@rafcte.com if you are no longer able to attend as the additional seats will still not accommodate all those that missed out.

We hope that you will agree this is a fair solution and the best outcome to a very difficult situation and that the spirit of the FRIAT enclosure remains.

I will contact (in order) the waitlist so please bear with me as this may take a couple of weeks to complete.

Not sure if they are sending out a pack for Tangerine fields? I've booked the same place and had nothing since the confirmation email. Where it said print the booking reference as you'll need it when you arrive
