Looking at google translate it would appear that 'Klar' means clear,'Utgar' means void & 'Ej Klar' means not ready.
I would think that the red shading accompanying the word 'Utgar' means a no show at these events - hope I'm wrong

Glad you posted that. I was thinking I may have been a club on my own with that one. I agree it does sound daft but some of my best shots from the Leuchars she was at were of the Cat.
:D , so that is a club of four then. My Dad-in-law was a nav instructor during WW2 out in Pat Bay. BC. A lovely a/c. I look fwd to snapping her.

I'm not sure they've been formally invited, I think it's the SwAFHF themselves that are wishing to come, but struggling for aircraft availability/permission from SwAF/acceptance from airshows/etc.!

Which, I believe, stated that the Flight would be seen at two shows in the UK, RIAT not being one of them...

I would agree with this, unless RIAT has been moved north!

Madness in what respect? RIAT is the biggest show in terms of visitors, maybe, but i the invitation has come from the MOD (which seems likely, considering to RAF shows and an FAA show were the original plan) then why would RIAT even be mentioned?

RIAT, thankfully, is not the be-all and end-all of UK aviation events.

Now no disrespect intended here fellah, but unless you work for U.S. intelligence (now there's an oxymoron if ever there was one) and therefore you can read my emails, I'm pretty sure you don't know what Waddo put in their message to me !!

The line has now been removed from the Waddington press release, but it quite clearly read
RAF Leuchars will also play host to the Viggen and SK60 in September, giving just two opportunities this year in the UK
It would appear things have - as they often do - changed. Jersey is now confirmed, I believe, so for those that only go to RIAT, you may be in luck...

Update has started

Latest Update - 13/06/13
Despite their best efforts, the Royal Australian Air Force will not be taking part in this summer's Air Tattoo. We were informed this week that every effort was made to try and make an airframe available and that they had left a decision to the last possible moment in the hope that an opportunity would arise. Their email stated:"Rest assured we did all we could to try to make an airframe available, unfortunately for a variety of reasons it has not proven possible. RIAT remains an event we will endeavour to support in the future if competing pressures allow."

The Air Tattoo is very grateful to the RAAF for doing all it could to support RIAT 2013, and like them, we look forward to welcoming an RAAF aircraft in the near future.

Very shortly, we hope to be able to confirm a Gloster Meteor T7, from Air Atlantique, for the flying display.

Royal Air Force of Oman
Airbus A320CJ 4 Sqn Transport (Static)

Well wasn't that short and sweet  Nice to see a airshow debut though. Hopefully more will be added after the media launch next Tuesday
