A man can dream okay :P .

still I enjoyed the gripen E from 2023 and I love the G.91 from my warthunder days so I’m happy with today’s announcements.

Is it possible, theoretically, that if there is hardware deployed to ffd, that it could make some appearance, possibly flypast.

It's the longest of long shots but you never know?
If B-1 B-2 or B-52s get deployed to Fairford then there won't be RIAT.... Full stop.

Luckily way back in 1999, Allied Force ops over Serbia finished before the airshow. For those that remember how good that one turned out in the end....
Does this apply now then?

Pakistan air force status moved from "Invited" to "ongoing", making the previous x message about their JF-17s a step closer to reality I would say

I do remember that. Spent a couple of days in the Cotswolds watching them launch at night , brilliant !

For anyone that hasn't yet twigged, the FRIAT announcement was the Fiat G91R.

Great additions this week!

Given the G.91 has a frecce tricolori livery, is there any chance of the two doing a flypast together? That would be cool.

I think thats the obvious intention. Taken from the website "the aircraft will be performing a series of special formation flypasts on Saturday and Sunday at RIAT25."

Reports the F-22s are staying at RAF Lankenheath for 1 month now, do we think there could be a chance of getting 1 or 2 on static display while they are in the country?

Are you able to buy departures tickets online or do you have to buy them on the day when you arrive?

All sold out online ages ago, however you can buy them on the day unlike show tickets

I’m liking your thinking Thunder, now that would spice the static up with a CAG representative of each of the squadrons deployed onboard! Over to you Bader House !!

To whet the appetite, US Navy are still invited on the RIAT website, as were Pakistan until moved to ongoing. Current embarked squadrons are:

Fighter Squadron (VFA) 37, “Ragin’ Bulls” F/A-18E
Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213, “Blacklions” F/A-18F
Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 31, “Tomcatters” F/A-18E
Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 87, “Golden Warriors” F/A-18E
Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 142, “Gray Wolves” EA-18G
Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 124, “Bear Aces”; E-2D
Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 9, “Tridents” MH-60S
Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 70, “Spartans” MH-60R
Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 40 “Rawhides.” C-2A

That would boost the static no end! Also, there are no commitments from the East coast demo team that weekend either.... however I'm not suggesting they'd fly the demo pilot to the UK for the weekend.

Would certainly love to see some USN bits, would be a real highlight for me. Certainly feels a bit like wishful thinking at the moment but we can dream!

Roll on Thursday; it feels like there's certainly still a few big updates to come to bolster what in my opinion is already looking like a decent RIAT lineup.

I don't think we're going to see much more in terms of quantity now, if it's that type of big you mean. But if you mean big in aircraft status, then I suppose we have the Pakistani JF-17 rumour that would qualify if confirmed. Beyond that, there's the almost inevitable USAF contribution that may well include a flying U-2 and likely the usual collection of Lakenheath and Mildenhall residents in the static park. Maybe one or two more RAF types for static. And fairly likely a few more civi aircraft to pad out that static.

It is a decent looking show this year, even if it is looking a fair bit smaller than recent shows. Does feel like an uptick in civilian aircraft, although that might be a perception thing because of the reduction in military airframes this year.

Just in time for US Independence Day tomorrow, we’re pleased to announce a huge array of aircraft courtesy of the Unites States Air Force!

As part of our ‘Eyes in the Skies’ theme, we're very excited to confirm that the U-2 will be performing in the flying display on both Saturday and Sunday of RIAT25!

On the ground, the USAF will provide a B-1B, C-5, C-21A, F-35A, KC-46A, KC-135R, MC-130J, RC-135V and U-2!

In addition to the USAF aircraft this week, we can also confirm that the Italian Army will be in attendance with their UH-169B on static display. Plus, Gulfstream G600, Pilatus PC-21 and Pilatus PC-24.
