Viewing village -garden friat.

Post by BwlchAwyren » Mon Jul 03, 2023 5:15 pm

Hello,
First time going on a Friday. Just after some advice. Is the upgrade to viewing village on the Friday worth the extra 25quid?
Any advice or info much appreciated.
Thanks

I usually go for the grandstand, but I have wandered down to the garden. It's good, you don't have the issue of a crowded crowdline and there is plenty of space. Especially on the Friday, last year it was pretty quiet down there looking down on it from grandstand

Enclosure specific toilets meaning no queueing (or very little of it) and vendors inside the area also meaning access to food and drink without the longer general public queues.

It is just outside crowd centre too, so great for photos. Aircraft seem to be just starting their take off as they come past the FRIAT stand further down meaning you get some great take-off photos and everything is taxiing slowly when they land past the area meaning a good look at the aircraft.

Over all I'd go for it.

I did a Saturday in the Village (pre-covid), doing it again this year, much quieter than the crowds in the public area.

I'm also doing the viewing village Garden for the 1st time this year, primarily as i travel alone, but was very crowded last year and i'd like a bit more space now, especially with my latest health issues.

Viewing Village is brilliant, we did it last year as we missed out on FRIAT and it was perfect for us. Loads of space, and you are closer in the garden than in the grandstand! Well worth the money. I'd probably say it is the cheaper version of FRIAT
