Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
In all honestly fair play that’s looking like a proper RIAT, just a b-2 flypast or an f-35 demo and we’re all good

Keep forgetting about the Danish 16, that was a cracking display at Yeovilton in 2019 and in that fantastic scheme now too

Afternoon Folks
.
So the flying display is filling up nicely - can’t wait . With only 3 weeks to go, can we expect any late surprise attendees ? Any rumours or displays self confirmed ? Tia .

Shame about the Indians. I was hoping they'd bring the Bastille day Jags over.

Hey guys! Super excited for this years show, have got tickets for Thursday arrivals (first time) and Saturday tickets! I missed out on the Monday departures which I really really hoping to go to. My question, is there anywhere outside the show that I could potentially watch the departures from? Obviously I don’t won’t to be anywhere I shouldn’t!
Thanks Jamie!
Thanks Jamie!

is this a definite, Paul. i have tickets for Saturday and Monday departures but my son, who normally comes with us, now wants to travel down for departures but has no ticket (he didn't buy one as he was on rota at work) but that's now changed.Pauld339 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 3:51 pmYou can buy tickets on the day for departuresJam-weld wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 3:50 pmHey guys! A fair amount of static exotica is not on display on Friday, Polish SU-22, Greek F-4's, Italian and Spanish Harriers, Dutch F-35's, Romanian AN-26, Italian Tornados, Italian AMX's.
As somebody that' can't make the Friday and is going Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday I'm wondering whether this means that the majority of the interesting stuff has been positioned on the scenic Bomber Loop or that they'll be arriving on the Friday.

I'm hoping some Friday arrivals from your list, but the Spanish Harrier is flying on the Friday so both might arrive before.luke28 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:29 pmA fair amount of static exotica is not on display on Friday, Polish SU-22, Greek F-4's, Italian and Spanish Harriers, Dutch F-35's, Romanian AN-26, Italian Tornados, Italian AMX's.

Though I am hoping we get some great arrivals on Friday, we had a brilliant day last year on the Friday. And the majority that was in Green were Friday arrivals (727, E4B, Viggen, Draken, Lansen, A4, Hawker Hunter)
Phantoms and Tornados arriving on Friday would be perfect. I've never seen a Phantom flying in my adult life. Late 80s/early 90s last time I saw one fly.

I don't know the situation at P&V East, but at West you should be fine. The worst that can happen is, if there are no tickets left for the enclosure, you / he can watch from the car park, which gives a very acceptable view - much better than any off-base location.Discodaz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:35 amcheers James.
