Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
When the F-15E demo, F15C Demo and A10 Demo came over to the UK to display at RIAT some years ago they used Lakenheath and Spang jets respectively.

Update-
Rain is forecast! Major John 'Rain' Waters of the Viper Demo Team is confirmed for RIAT 2019 flying the F-16! His display marks the first time for over a decade that we have welcomed the USAF F-16 demo to the Air Tattoo. We can also confirm a flying display from the CV-22B Osprey as well as USAF static appearances from another CV-22B, MC-130J Commando II, C-17 Globemaster and E-6B Mercury from the US Navy!

That's too many aircraft for one update!
Lovely update, and even better to see the Osprey back after last year's shenanigans! Also, the E-6 is great to see. Getting even better

Can't believe the E-6 is not flying, or doing barrel rolls, so I am sending my ticket back!

We have our first cancellations. I don't even recall them being announced.

Wonder if that was part of the 18 static that were confirmed the other week?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
No there isn't...they are already flying elsewhere. Why does having more than 1 pilot mean anything either??
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
Umm, yes there is.....
The f-16 demo is over hear, they have multiple authorized war bird pilots, remember last year?
There was two with the F35 (Spitfire and Mustang).
So that's at least two pilots, and they only have one show that weekend in the US requiring one pilot to fly a Mustang.
Its very probable we could get a Heritage flight with the F16 this year.

Or even better a flypast with two heritage LN F-15’s seeing as only the one is in the static & all 3 are rumoured to be at the show!

Well at RIAT 2017 we had a mini flypas of f-15s and f-16s so it would be nice to see them again, especially the heritage ones!!

Never saw this before I was just looking at confirmed aircraft page on RIAT website and they have listed the NATO flypast....Unfortunately they have not named any types or numbers of aircraft involved but that may change in the coming weeks.

"may" will be "should", at least I do hope that list won't remain emptyRed-Eye-Knight wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 1:47 pmNever saw this before I was just looking at confirmed aircraft page on RIAT website and they have listed the NATO flypast....Unfortunately they have not named any types or numbers of aircraft involved but that may change in the coming weeks.
