Oh I don't know. When I went to catch her departing to the Isle of Man I had gone a little bit further up Bawtry Road and parked at the side of the track with plenty of room. I was standing near the fence when a Police Focus drove post and slowed down to stop. The driver said
"Is that a scanner?"
"Yes" I replied preparing a I'm really sorry, I'll turn it off speech, or being prepared to shift the car.
He said "Are you listening for the Vulcan?"
I Replied "Yes".
"Which way is it coming in?"
I said that it would land at the far end due to the wind direction.
"Do you know what time it's due?"
I replied around 6ish.
"Cheers mate" and they drove off, presumably to get a good vantage point. :D

Weren't things pushed forward due to the weather? Might be the reason for the early return.

I suspect I picked her around Heckington possibly even further out - there was a huge white cloud behind tho'

From Twitter an hour ago: "Aircraft serviceable. Goodnight from the Vulcan information service." - Some earlier information would have helped save a lot of people a wasted trip!

Hi everyone

Does anyone know when she launches on Saturday for the show at Southport?

I have had a look on the VTTS site but nothing listed there.

Many thanks for your help.

The Southport show isn't till the 23rd/24th July so I doubt it'll be published yet a while.

Wonder why it takes an hour to get to Waddington? Does this mean that the display rehearsal will not be at Waddington? Hope not...

Yep, but there's no indication as to where the display rehearsal will be. I don't fancy going all the way to Waddington to see the aircraft simply land - I could go to Finningley any time for that!
