Here follows a comprehensive list of aircraft noted between these dates on a visit to Thailand. The trip started at Heathrow on the 4th where an Omani AF Boeing 747SP was noted before flying to Mumbai where on the deck were 2 Mi 17 ‘Hips’ close to the Business Jet park. Arriving at Bangkok in the morning of the 5th I overflew Don Muang where 7 C130H Hercules, 737,ATR-72 and AT28D (0-91601) were noted, the T28 being next to a parade ground. My eternal thanks for Steve Darke and his excellent website for filling in the gaps.

Oh no!
Still struggling with the serial presentation here!
Think it's going to be a case of using the Roman equivalent to the Thai full serial, then finding somewhere to put the gazillion codes some aircraft carry!

Still struggling with the serial presentation here!

Re: Thailand Trip
Actually Chris, wanted to ask you a question about the presentation of serials on freebird. US and Uk stuff are quite straight forward but some are quite difficult, what would you recommend for when I log my Thai stuff? Maybe look at the fleet lists to see how they presented? Also french stuff? They all have the same numbers!

Re: Thailand Trip
French are easy enough, as long as you know the type! If you logged three "01"'s on the same location/date, just put one in your log then select the ones you saw from the list
As for Thai, this is the response from Shane Murphy, who does the Thai AF stuff:
xN-N/N, so the Thai AF Da-40 that wears 60446 would be in as F20-1/52. However, you'll also be able to log it as 60446, or indeed K.
Confused yet?!

Now, what this means is Thai Air Force serials will be presented as follows:What I am going to do for the non Museum/preserved airframes is use the roman serial (or Thai serial if there is
no known roman serial) in the 'registration' field and the code in the 'other marks' field. Then in the airframe
history I will put the Thai serial, the roman serial(s) and the code(s). That way whatever a user logs or searches
should be picked up.
Also the Thai serial although usually on the airframe is very small and probably not seen or understood by most
people.

Re: Thailand Trip
Sure am! I must be logging wrong because as I remember I put the serial number in and thats it and then go to the next section, so hopefully the thai stuff will be picked up individually but every single french aircraft will, which means 20 minutes getting rid of the ones I dont want! I will give it a test later and having just found my pedandic hat the DA40 you mentioned is a DA42!
Right, time for dinner, Ive just been doing the paper logging for my list, sure hope freebird is easier

Re: Thailand Trip
Don't you have "Clear Tickboxes" on Step 2 of "Log Sightings"?
Click it, removes all the tick boxes and you just select the ones you want

You've got my details if you need me
