hi,
on a family holiday at Bridport, and got adsb.fi on in the background, and had Wildcat and Apache's around most days, so it was just a case of a quick look and another quick look on adsb. So late in the week either 21-23 May, i noted ZZ491 off adsb later on checking nothing, i know its a big ask but anyone know anything else, it might have been?

when you noted "ZZ491" what type did you note.
Could it be a Shadow ZZ419 ( ie not a jellycopter ).

Doesn't know which
day it was, what makes you think the type was noted?

My instant gut feeling was that you would have "mis-wrote" a Wildcat.
Sure enough, here is ZZ391 on 22May:

hi, thank you Andy, much appreciated , as to why i did not know the day or time for sure, the key word is "family" holiday, beach, pool, etc, i noted it, then after i got home i was marking up. I saw that ZZ419 was a Shadow, so that ruled it out. Also POL, when i "spot" i note the serial and the date, nothing else, but as i mentioned i had a quick look at adsb, then got called back to family things... if it should occur again, and i ask on here for help, i will be sure to note. type, heading, height, codes, pilots gender, his/her eye's colour.

Mate chill out.
You got the serial and all the info thanks to Andy, if you cant take a bit of a dig then just ignore it, no need to fire off a shot at POL!

In all seriousness, it is still a good idea to note the type or a rough idea even if "twin-prop" or "helo" for example. A useful tip I was told many, many years ago. We all make mistakes and sometimes that little bit extra helps fill those gaps. Enjoy the hobby.

hi,
if you look at my original post i said we had Wildcats and Apaches about all that week, also i thanked Andy for providing me with the answer to my request, and i'm not being paranoid but POL'S remark was uncalled for. If he could not help with my request he should have not wasted his time and forum space with a sarcastic remark...

Hi Dave,
If you're 'multi-tasking' when you spot an interesting aircraft, try taking a screenshot of the ADS-B page that you're looking at and then refer to that in your mobile's gallery when you're marking up.
Happy Holidays,
Freeman
