I thought it was the Swiss variant - H for Helvetic
Re: Angus F-18H
I've just done a replay of ADS-B and it did actually show the type of J-5001 to be an 'F-18H', so I retract my 'fat finger' comment to Keith and apologise profusely.
Re: Angus F-18H
F18H (no hyphen) is the official ICAO identifier for the McDonnell Douglas F-18 Hornet family, everything from A to C, as well as those built by Asta, Boeing, GAF, Patria, SF and Valmet - which are all presumably the foreign air arms' local assembly/maintenance companies!
F18S is the code for the Super Hornet family, of F/A-18E and F, and EA-18G.

Re: Angus F-18H
Have just checked the type code showing on ADS-B and it was actually 'F18H', thanks for the info, Chris/EGCC/EGVP etc.
Re: Angus F-18H
Apo;ogies accepted, i was confused by the F-18H then F-18C but it makes sense now thanks to EGVP,
