I've just done a replay of ADS-B and it did actually show the type of J-5001 to be an 'F-18H', so I retract my 'fat finger' comment to Keith and apologise profusely.

F18H (no hyphen) is the official ICAO identifier for the McDonnell Douglas F-18 Hornet family, everything from A to C, as well as those built by Asta, Boeing, GAF, Patria, SF and Valmet - which are all presumably the foreign air arms' local assembly/maintenance companies!

F18S is the code for the Super Hornet family, of F/A-18E and F, and EA-18G.
