Post by grahamdevizes » Mon Oct 11, 2021 7:08 am

A friend saw a trailer with a B-17 fuselage coded EP*E on the M25 close to Heathrow at 7.20am BST this morning. Can anyone provide a serial number please? TIA

Possible mock-up for "Masters of the Air" filming?

Thanks joost, he said he couldn't be 100% sure whether it was a mock up or an original frame but if there's filming going on, then looks most likely to be a mock up. Thanks again.

It was indeed one of the mock-ups used at Abingdon for filming - the 'EP' code is that of the 351st BS, part of the 100th BG, and the mock-ups have the 'D in a Square' tail marking of the 100th BG.
