Not totally important but my wife and a really keen aircraft spotter(Grandson 4 years pld) spotted something quite low over Montrose on Tuesday.From info from the pair of them just wondered if there was a C-17 OR Atlas in the area.Dont know enough about civils but apparently it was big with high tail and greyish?????The little one has been pointing at planes since he was 2 drives kis mum demnted She has fr on the phone now(ADS-B didnt load) as its what kind is tjat all the time?

Hi Condor68, heading South offshore past Aberdeen was 177702 C-17A RCAF Lossiemouth-Edinburgh, it could have been this.

That's exactly what it was, 177702 flew down the coast at about 2,000' before turning inland, routing straight over Leuchars and then into Edinburgh.
It would have been in the Montrose area at around 13.10.
