Italian F-35 OTT 24/9
Sorry to go on about this but if anyone sees a link with photos (or numbers) of the first four Italian F-35 that went to Iceland on the 24/9 could they please post a link here
Or indeed of the two that went over the UK north bound today 25/9
Can't believe there are no photos on social media or Flickr yet?
Thanks

MM7357/32-07 photographed on arrival but, can't confirm whether it was in the initial batch.

Re: Italian F-35 OTT 24/9
Thanks
Annoyingly the tweet refers to the 26/9 when they arrived over the 24-25/9
However mm7357 was one of the serials quoted in the heads up thread but it is a shame a source wasn't mentioned
I expect there will be photos appearing but I won't know if I saw them - never mind. I am tempted to go for a short break to Iceland towards the end of October as it looks like a great country ( if you like fish)

Iceland can't be all bad - according to the web - they have a national beer day on March 1st. Although I was surprised to learn that beer was banned until as recently as 1989!
Re: Italian F-35 OTT 24/9
I went on a day trip to Iceland in March 1997! Great place, would love to go back sometime, maybe for a bit longer!

So I think we have...
(MM7334)/32-03 ref https://twitter.com/SM_Difesa/status/11 ... 89/photo/3 (wears 5064 on the nose-wheel door)
(MM7357)/32-07 ref http://www.difesa.it/SMD_/Eventi/Pagine ... tning.aspx video at the bottom (you've got to be quick!)
(MM7358)/32-08 ref https://ac.nato.int/archive/2019/italy- ... n-iceland- (this is the one you thought was 32-09, the video below also shows 32-08)
(MM7361)/32-11 ref http://www.difesa.it/SMD_/Eventi/Pagine ... tning.aspx video at the bottom (you've got to be quick!)
Nothing for the second cell yet.

Re: Italian F-35 OTT 24/9
Looking at this guys' shots, four departed and only three returned - so is one parked up somewhere else?
Either way it gives MM7360/32-10 as another one leaving one unidentified?

Re: Italian F-35 OTT 24/9
Brilliant piece of detective work there
You can definitely see all five codes you mentioned.
I can see codes 32-07 and 32-11 clearly in the video you linked ( 32-07 has distinctive centenary marks on the left hand tail) as part of the four ship on the 24/9
32-08 is seen with two other F-35 on the ground in a tweet dated 26/9 so must also be part of the first Cell arriving( as the mission on the 27 hadn't happened yet)
Thanks

Re: Italian F-35 OTT 24/9
Oh right
October doesn't sound like the best time of year to visit - must be very short days I would think
It was going to be a bit of a squeeze as I would like to try and get the US army chopper change over later this month , although i haven't made any concrete plans yet!
