I saw Trump's departure from Portsmouth on 5/6/19 while at Calshot. According to ADS-B there was one H-47 with two police helicopters, one in front and one behind. Obvious false registrations as I saw two H-47s and one VH-3 (??). The only reg shown on ADS-B was 16-08199. Can anyone confirm the other two registrations ?

Peter - not false at all IF I recall correctly, although I wasn't there to witness events. However I am fairly certain from reports on the forum that there were 3 H-47s and there were also Police helicopters too. I suspect that you saw these with one CH-47 on ADSB and the other 2 Chinooks with the VH-3. I am sure a search will find the thread to confirm.

My sightings were visual and there were no police helicopters to be seen - only 3 US military helicopters.

Evening. I was watching from Portsdown Hill when they departed. First up were two Chinooks and a VH-3 in a loose formation the VH-3 leading. They proceeded towards Southampton passing overhead Warsash. Next up was a VH-3 and a Chinook they then proceeded towards Southampton with two police helicopters, one at the front and one at the rear. They took a more northerly route more in line with the M27. I'll have a look at my logs but I'm away in Cyprus at the moment.

Peter, page 32 of the Presidential thread shows the helicopter arrivals at Southampton. I'm sure the ones you saw were 15-08466 + 15-08467 Chinooks and 159350 VH-3. I hope this helps. Nigel
