C17 ott Kettering

Hi can anybody help me with the following Saturday 22 December around 15.30/45 what looked like a c17 heading west/northwest looked quite low long trail just wondered if it was a c17 I was in Kettering at the time was hoping that it might be RCH 540 09_9209 any help would be great thanks raptor 22

Hi Raptor22,

Have you reported the time correctly, as there does not appear to have been any C-17s at that time?

09-9209 was an hour earlier than you stated - SE of Kettering at FL300 at 14.44z.......https://flight-data.adsbexchange.com/ma ... 2018-12-22.

Hi Raptor22, if you look at your original request in this post :- viewtopic.php?f=113&t=170793&p=1050779#p1050779 then it appears that 1marshn30 thinks he saw RCH540 over the Banbury area almost an hour before you think you saw it over Kettering.

I saw it on ADSB-Exchange that afternoon and it was going WSW, certainly not NW.

I'm not sure which one of you saw the real RCH540, good luck with it.

I don't know it this will help or confuse.

I had 09 -9209 on my sbs box between 14.42 - 14-48, it was transmitting serial etc on sbs and went South of Daventry heading South West and was trailing nicely.

Hi guys thankful so much for all of your help it was definitely that time and direction I guess I was mistaken it was a request for help identify what I saw must of been a commercial flight gutted thought I might of baged a c17 lol thankful all again for your help and a happy new year to all raptor22
