Manston Fire Training
Re: Manston Fire Training
Today I saw most of the Fire Training a/c from the outside. Not seen were the Buccaneer, 2x Lynx and 2x Harrier GR3 (no spec c/s) and probably the camo Wessex not. From the main gate is Tornado "FC" visible at right. Also at this spot is just right from the road a green heli visible. Anyone if this is Wessex XV725?
At Google Earth it looks like...
Also at GE 3 Tornados are visible, 2 in Eurodemobbed! The one near the SW-side Manston road is not there. Is the 2nd HS125 in GE a civil one (the not burnt one)?
At the dump left from another gate is behind F-4J a yel/black fuselage visible. Looks like a Hunter or is this not a plane? See the background of the F-4J picture at Eurodemobbed.
The Meteor inside the museum was visible through the window close to the road, as the RAF museum was closed today at 3.50PM
Also the Tornado nose and JP were outside.

Re: Manston Fire Training
The Tornado GR.4A and one of the F.3s have left Both now at Newquay Airport/St Mawgan. I suspect the Google earth images is not upto date despite what it says.

Great set Andy. Helps a lot.
What are the yellow/black striped fuselage parts from near the F-4J? Looks like a Canberra.
I see it is/was WK124. Only small parts left??
HS125 ZD704 did go to Newquay museum. I think I saw the engine top of a Lynx over the sand hill next to Tornado "GE".

Re: Manston Fire Training
It is the leftovers of the Canberra TT.18 WK124. The nose has been saved and is being restored. No idea where, however
