Was up at Lossiemouth last week and had to pop into the Buccaneer Service Station in Elgin to see XW530 again. Used to seeing it a few times a year since it was put there as my grandparents hail from Elgin. Had not visited it for a close look for a while.
It is fantastic that it has been preserved by the service station owner. No criticism implied but it is now badly needing a repaint. It was done prior to handover but time has led to sun bleaching of the paint and a few bits have quite bad runs of oil/rust stains.
I wonder if anything can be done to support the owner financially to get it a freshen up? Still looks like it can fly.
Pardon the car in the foreground ( other obsession!)
