Want an off the wall suggestion?????

22 (significant number) black aircraft and 111 Squadron for the chop in March...are they doing it again?

What a commemoration that would be!

This date also coincides with the Harrier's final UK tour. Could it be that instead?

As I said above, it's 22 Hawks from Valley marking the 50th Anniversary. They will be in a `50' formation.

IP point is Cardeon, between Barmouth and Dolgellau on the Dyfi estuary and then they follow a straight line from there for the run into Valley.

(As long as there is'nt a frost, cos they have'nt got any money left in the pot for de-icing the runway.)

My father in law works on the T2's. He has confirmed what Beanieman says, 22 Hawks in formation. The weather report does not look good though for Thursday.

Beanieman, U R The Man :thumb: :ninja: I'll be there cause all those Hawks will be to busy to go low, which means loads of grey pointies

Weather forecast for Thursday 16th December. May be called off and also because there does not seem to be enough Hawks at Valley serviceable for the formation, I have been informed.

Snow showers will become increasingly frequent and heavy through Thursday with accumulations of 5 to 10 cm in general, but locally 20 cm by midday Friday. Snow will be accompanied by strong northerly winds leading to some drifting.
This is expected to cause disruption to travel networks.
