Marham 77 23/11/10

Post by Blackcat1 » Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:33 pm

Evening all

A Tornado GR4 "Marham 77" went through the Mach loop today and after passing through the Cad pass he climbed out south of Abersoch and asked for a PD to Valley, did anyone get a serial?

Thanks

Gareth

Tail code is 113 if this helps, the only other GR4 in the Loop was a 41Sqn jet.

Thanks for that yeah saw the 41 Sqdn there was another too. The 41 Sqdn was "Rebel 41", the other "Chieftain 1". Was Chieftain 1 the same jet as Marham 77? going back through after his PD?

Thanks
Gareth

Hi Andy

There were 3 through the loop another 2 over Bala. Loop had 6 Harrier's, 2 in the morning were Jedi 1-2, the Harriers in the afternoon were Jedi 1-4. Also had a Dominie, a few Hawks, 3 Eagles up high, and 2 GR4s flew over the car near Rhayader low in the dark at 6pm.

Cheers
Gareth

I assume the Harriers are having a final fling before they retire as never seen so many. Normally 1 or 2 never 4+ at any one time.

Just had 1 fly over but expecting more
