Hawk T1A XX281 "Blue2" landed at Mona 1230L approx., after circling in Valley overhead from 1212L for 10mins or so. Sea mist causing issues but 3 texans (ZM323/Anglesey 88, ZM326/Anglesey 89 and ZM328/Anglesey 85) had departed earlier off rwy31 but recovered via a PAR Talkdown to rwy 19 before this hawk appeared. Pilot reported a unresettable AC3 caption, just before landing there after receiving authorisation. Was offered Ronaldsway but presume fuel was too low for that option by then. Departed Mona back to Culdrose at 1505L (or just before).

Spoke to a navy pilot today who told me that Ronaldsway would only accept the aircraft if it was an emergency due to Covid 19 restrictions. Fuel wasnt an issue, to quote my scource " he could have gone to Lossiemouth if needed". The weather cleared at Mona enough for him to land.
