Another F-35 visit
F-35B ZM143 "Marham 99" visit to RAF Valley along Runway 13 for one pass, nozzle down.
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...
Re: Another F-35 visit
Nice one we are still waiting for one to appear at Warton. Ironic the a*se ends are manufactured at Samlesbury the other side of Preston feom Warton. Anyhow noticed one on adsb over NE Anglesey (Ynys Mon) less than 5 mins ago at 12,500ft (another in descent for rwy13?). disappeared soon after I noticed it (1539z)...
Cheers

F-35B ZM140 "Marham 92" another Runway 13 approach and then depart
Busy day!
Edited, 360 was showing it as 143 but on the photos I have seen of her on approach, it was 140!

Re: Another F-35 visit
It departed Marham around 15:20z and was over Valley at around 15:45z.

Re: Another F-35 visit
Ive never seen the serial given on Mode-S sites in particular on adsbexchange. it always displays "F35LTNG" nothing else.So you had 2 different jets yesterday? ZM143 earlier and ZM140 later. You've obviously cross checked the Marham subforum. I should have arranged to visit my Mum on outskirts of Holyhead. I would have seen both on the rwy 13 (ex 14) approach from her house.Red Dragon wrote: ↑Thu Jan 31, 2019 3:49 pm

Re: Another F-35 visit
I checked on 360radar to see the serial, which was given as I commented, however later I was told that the serials were incorrect, that photographers on the spot gave me the actual serials, which contradicted the ones on 360radar. It does show though that the RAF can now "pull a fast one" and surprise us all!
As I have just deleted my Flickr account I can't post a photo showing the serial of the aircraft.

Re: Another F-35 visit
I don't think it's the RAF "pulling a fast one".
The ping is just a ping - the "callsign" of "F35LGNT" is a meaningless default, the reality is it was calling "MARHAM number number". The Hex Code pinged for the F-35 again appears to be a default to- I would not accept a pinged F-35 serial is reliable.
Eyeballs and photos are key - radio helps with true callsigns and routing.
With the Tornado going get used to far fewer fast jets showing up with realiable ping data ie Typhoon, F-35, USAF F-15s - what you see on the ping screen is just part of what's out there up in the sky.
Enjoy the hobby
