Best places to take pics.

Post by flyingslug_0 » Sun Aug 01, 2010 10:36 am

Hi all, I'm planning to visit and stay at the "Loop" for a few days starting on the 9th and want to take a look at Valley, can anyone give me some pointers on the best places to take pictures please. Also any news on the Hawks are they all up and running?

Regards

Craig

Not sure about the activity levels at the moment but for places to go look at SteveS' guide. It has all the places on it.

Hi all,

Steve's guide is indeed great, runway 31, in the afternoon you will need to walk about 10 minutes to get the sun behind you. Walk down the "road", more of a gravel track. After about 400 meters you pass a "danger do not loiterr" sign on your left. About 50 metres further along the path into the dunes. The first dune in front of you on the right is known "summer residence". The east end gives great shots of aircraft ofinals and overshooting, plus any visitors will taxi from VAS in front of you to the runway.

I live near Valley and this is my favourite spot, even when taking off on 13 you get great shots as they stay low with gear up,

Enjoy your trip,

Steve

Hope you have a good trip.

Very soon parts of this guide will be converted into an AeroResource guide, similar to the Mildenhall one, so keep your eyes open in the next couple of weeks.
