Sea King farewell , Thursday 10 September

Post by David Thompson » Wed Sep 09, 2015 10:17 pm

The last Valley based Sea King XZ594 is due to fly a farewell local circuit possibly at 11:00 but I'm sorry that I cannot be more precise with the time .

Chivenor and Boulmer will be the last RAF SAR Flights to stand down on 1st October. RN SAR Flights are due to hand over on 1st January. However both these dates may yet slip due to the ongoing issues with the AW189 and two S-92As being in the wrong country. The remaining MCA Flights at Sumburgh, Stornoway, Lee on Solent and Portland will continue under the present arrangements until the Gap Contracts end in 2017.
