It would have been XX295 out on an air test as Pirate11 as per my thread

Cheers Ianto31, just confused with the Pirate call sign which suggested a navy T1.

This would've been the one I saw outside the Valley Gaydon hangar a week and a half ago, couldn't make out whether it was XX235 or XX295. Was viewed from the distant 13 end and was in full Red Arrows colours. So XX295 is a new one for the Reds.

XX295 came out of storage at Shawbury earlier this year after being there since 2006.

If the Reds are going to fly the Hawk T1 until 2030 (or longer), let's hope the bean counters appreciate what an asset they have in the AMRO workforce.

Quite right, some specialist skills+knowledge and lots of experience which are difficult to find out there.

Unrelated to the above, XX325 came in as 'Scampton04' and XX161 left as 'Cougar2'

Red 5 is in bound to Scampton now, tracking as Pirate 11/ 43C440, guessing this is XX295 whose not updated his box?

XX295 departed Valley as Red 5 closely followed by XX325 as Red 4.
