Hi all

Trying to track down 2 Italian F-104’s, they must have stopped over for the weekend.

Codes were 5-31 and 5-34

Any help great fully appreciated

as always, I like a bit of detective work. Both BAR & SEAR report codes only, no serials. 5-34 was confirmed on the exchange at Binbrook later in the year. Time/memory fails me so not sure if MM6722 was read off at the time, but the Midland Counties publication 'Italian Military Aviation' by Frank McMeiken reports MM6722 as being coded 5-31 in 2/75, 4/78 & 8/79 so seems likely was the same in 8/77. MM6902 was an F-104S produced for Turkey and didn't see AMI service by the look of things.

OK I'm not sure what I did then, the original question re 5-31 has disappeared - was that me? apologies to the poster if it was.
