Post by xkekeith » Fri Mar 12, 2021 7:09 am

I photographed this PBY Catalina wreck at St Petersburg - Clearwater international airport in October 1981, despite various google & reference book searches it remains elusive, any offers on an ID ?

This might be a line for further online research: PBY-5A N9502C (BuNo 46624; c/n 1988) was noted on the premises of the No. 94 Aero Squadron Restaurant at Clearwater/St Petersburg Airport from 1976 to 1982. The aircraft is now on display (US Navy markings) at the RAAF Association Aviation Heritage Museum at Bull Creek, Perth, Western Australia.

Hope this helps,
M
