Harrier GR7 coded WD but missing serial...

Post by ATCSpooky » Sat Mar 28, 2020 1:32 pm

Hello,

I hope everybody is doing fine?!

Looking through my slides I came across the above mentioned Harrier with WD code but no (visible) serial....
I saw it at Rheine Hopsten, Germany October 29, 1993.

Anybody who can help me out with the serial at that time?

Many thanks!

Marcel

Good Afternoon Marcel,
Your serial would appear to be ZD432 from Web search for photos from 1993
Stay well
Best regards,
Paul

on checking my files I note that I have ZD432 as w/o.23.11.1993 so you have got lucky getting a shot of that one
I have been rootin through the 93/94 BARGS and have failed to find the code WD in those so that would account for it
there is a rundown of Operation Warden A/c in a 94 BARG but no WD, I am assuming you are aware that the W- code was for said Op. and how it reads in BARG that when the A/c returned back to Squadron they reverted to said SQUADRON Code

Many thanks for the replies!! I also found an extensive (daily) log from Rheine Hopsten movements on the web that stated that on that day ZD467/WD paid a visit to the base...

ZD432 or ZD467: which one is the correct number?! (of course I hope the first one since it's w/o)

Thanks again and stay healthy!

Marcel
