EXERCISE CORONET BUFFALO IOWA & SOUTH DAKOTA ANG A7D/K RAF WADDINGTON ENTHUSIASTS/PHOTO DAY 1985
Hi,
Can anyone please help with a date for the EXERCISE CORONET BUFFALO 1985 enthusiasts/photo day held at Waddington and a list of A7D/K aircraft parked on the airfield during the day. I have through my own photographs identified 3 examples involved in the static area but not the others present on the field.
Many thanks
Regards

I'm not sure which day the Photo Day was but there's a list of the A-7s that took part in here :- http://www.sharpshooter-maj.com/html/deploy85.htm
Just scroll down until you find the Coronet Buffalo entry.

Why are you shouting?EXERCISE CORONET BUFFALO IOWA & SOUTH DAKOTA ANG A7D/K RAF WADDINGTON ENTHUSIASTS/PHOTO DAY 1985
from wiki
BrianA 2014 article on netiquette (online etiquette) in New Republic, titled "How Capital Letters Became Internet Code for Yelling",[11] states that:
Online newsgroups and bulletin board posts from around 1984 show that a user still needed to explain that "if it's in caps i'm trying to YELL",[12] or that "Capitalizing whole words gives the impression that you're shouting".[13] Another summed up that there seemed to be a developing consensus that emphasis was given to words via all caps, or by surrounding them with asterisks.[13]

No problem, just happy to help.
It would be a good idea to correct the title though - it's against the rules of the forum, see rule 9 :- viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24285

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for pointing out rule 9 to me it's very much appreciated. Apologies to the forum as I should have read them a bit more carefully, surprised that it's not been pointed out to me sooner as it appears all of my posts titles previously have been in the same format.
Kind Regards
Colin

The photo-call was held on Saturday the 1st of June 1985 in glorious "Kodachrome" weather with the following aircraft on static display:Everett1285 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 8:18 amHi,

There might be a fuller list, i.e. including the SLUFs that were dotted around the airfield on the day, in 'BAR'. I don't have access to my copies until the end of the month; can anyone else check to see if a 1985 issue from June onwards includes any additional info?

Yes, I did have a look through my BARs for May / June / July prior to my earlier answer as this seemed the obvious place, as you suggest.mustang5861 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 9:01 pmThere might be a fuller list, i.e. including the SLUFs that were dotted around the airfield on the day, in 'BAR'. However, they only reported on the Photo-Call and the aircraft on static as far as I could find; albeit they did initially report one of those serials incorrectly. I seem to recall seeing reports somewhere at the time of what airframes were parked around the dispersals but can`t recall where and when now. What I do know is that is appears from my photographs that at least one of the two A-7K in the brown / green camo` were on the field, they were s/n 80-0292, 81-0077. A great shame they didn`t put one of those on the static as well as it would have made a nice contrast to the others.
Unfortunately I don`t think it`s a case of hoping that all the others were parked around the field as small detachments were made to Germany during the exercise so hopefully someone will come along with a list what was there that day. Like the many hundreds who turned up for their arrival I didn`t bother with writing a list during the "Photo-Call", but no doubt someone will have.
