On the sunny day of 18th April 1987 Five USAF F-4s “retro flight”were seen contrailing off the ocean heading south over uk and rumoured to be going to Zweibrucken then destined to be gate guards or BDRF. Anyone got any info on these please?

ZWEIBRUCKEN (West Germany) The 26thTRW sent six RF-4C's to Nellis AFB on 18.2 for a "Red Flag" exercise, including 70451, 80587, 80590 and 90366 all 'ZR'
glw. The aircraft returned to Zweibrucken on 17/18.4.
