Req; C 17 to Mldenhall/Lakenheath 30/10/1999

Can I ask if there is information about a C 17 to either Mildenhall or Lakenheath on Saturday 30th October 1999. I was at Thetford Town FC when it flew over me around 13.00/14.00 hours.

Hi Alec,
I've looked at what I believe happened on that date and the only C-17 which appears to fit that time is 93-0603. This departed Mildenhall at 1408L for the USA joining Controlled Airspace in the Pole Hill area. As Mildenhall was on Runway11 that afternoon its possible that you saw it departing.

I'm not aware of any C-17's which arrived at either Lakenheath or Mildenhall that day.

Thanks Graham, I would suspect you are correct I recall we were doing our pre match pitch inspection so the time would seem correct.
