Hi a321 just wondered if you you went to Yuma on 24.3.94, we were on a base visit and saw an A-6 w/o in a hangar. We never managed to get the serial, and wondered if anybody else saw it. Many thanks Phil
Re: Nellis F-14's 23.3.1994
We were there on the 24th as well. I have no record of an A-6. Sorry I can't be of any help
Re: Nellis F-14's 23.3.1994
Thanks for your reply a321, my post was a bit misleading the A-6 was sand coloured and in a small building with a Harrier. There was so much going on that some people may not have noticed. Can you imagine that type of activity these days !!. Phil

Re: Nellis F-14's 23.3.1994
As clearly a few people were around Nellis in March 1994, I have a gap in my log for 27/28th March. There were four F117,s present,
80-791 unmarked, 85-810 unmarked and 84-811/HO, however the fourth was in a commander’s scheme which we could not decipher, did any of you guys manage to confirm which one it was, we would appreciate any help offered.

Potentially could be 158787 from https://web.archive.org/web/20171103001 ... rowler.htm
"158787/149949
c/n I-523/534
158787 (VA-34) crashed on Nellis AFB range Apr 21, 1993 following nighttime collision with A-6 149949. Causes stated as inadequate pre-flight briefing and white rear tail light of 149949 not working
Contributor also posts that they assisted pickup of what was left of 158787 from Nellis Range, which would fit"

Actually it is more likely to be 149943, that had an experimental desert camo applied to it in 1991 whist in 'Nevada' and was then cannibolized (no doors, canopy, panels) https://1000aircraftphotos.com/Contribu ... e/8865.htm

Thanks again for looking, I agree 158787 was badly damaged in the crash. 149943 looks a good possibility.Phil
