Seeking to establish serial of one of the pair of Phantoms that opened the Flying Display. It was one of the unmarked pair based @ HOSM and would have been either XT852 or 853 but the serial no. is impossible to discern on the single pic of it I got.

Did it have an RWR on top of the fin?

XT852 had one fitted, certainly by 1984, as far as I can tell XT853 never had one, certainly not by 1984.

Thanks for the info Paul which would seem to clinch it being 852 as defo had RWR. That's a great shot of it BTW!
