AMARC / Davis Monthan 26/27th May 1998

Post by razzer56 » Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:23 pm

Some 26 years after a couple of days at the above, I thought it about time I sorted out my sightings here as I try to get over a bout of covid. I have lost some of my notes hence the request for help please.
There were 36 A-6 Intruders in the old Area 4,in 2 lines along the fence by East Escalante Road. I believe they were in this position for years. Can any kind soul provide me with the serials for these please. I have looked in the excellent AMARC 11 but all the A-6's are bulked together.
On Tuesday the 26th my family managed to get on the AMARC Bus Tour. As we entered AMARC, 7 German Tornados from Holloman AF Base landed. We did not see them again during the Tour.
The Crews stayed at the Motel we were in that night and 4 of them provide serials for their craft -:- 4542 4596 4401 4328.
The other 3 could not remember the identities of their machines. There were at DM for at least a couple more days. Also visiting later that day were 3 x A-4's possibly from El Centro ?
On Wednesday mid morning as we left the Motel to head back to San Diego 6 x F-16s over flew us and landed in DM. I do not know where they were from as I was driving at the time. I have checked BARG and there isn't a report covering these days. Can any body help at all with serials for these sightings please.
