F35`s over Aldborough

Post by simon65 » Sun Jan 24, 2021 7:24 pm

I was very lucky to see overhead on Friday afternoon two F35 Lightnings carrying out very peculiar circuits, one aircraft seemed to hang almost motionless nose up while the second aircraft circled around, they would then swap around and carry out the same procedure. I wonder if anyone knows what they were actually doing?

Funny, but unhelpful, Ian

I wouldn’t want those fugly flying bricks breeding :grr:

Can’t imagine an F35 is able to perform its version of ‘viffing’ :S

High level hovering maybe, didn’t the Harrier have a limit above which it couldn’t hover?
