Semi new member here! Long time lurker, no time poster. I'm 18 and have spent my life living in Suffolk, nested south of Mildenhall, Lakenheath and Honington - my house sits right under a flightpath into Mildenhall, so I've heard planes all my life! A fond memory of mine is playing in the garden trying to chase after the A-10s that flew above. Got more into aviation after lockdown, watching the jets off in the distance from my bedroom window, and as an avid photographer, I would love to photograph aircraft I see! Loving all the content on here and how freindly people are!

Re: New to FC or not so new? Introduce yourself here.
Hi all, only now realising that I was supposed to introduce myself, teach me to read the messages, I was wondering why everything was locked.
Anyway, I'm Darren dad to 4 children, 1 from a previous relationship, been in to aviation for a long time, used to love being taken to RAF St Athan Air show when I was younger with my parents, my bedroom wall was always plastered in poster of military aircraft when I was growing up, couldn't wait to go to WHSmiths and Woolworths to flick through the poster displays to look for any new aircraft posters
Nowadays I spend as much time around the Mach Loop and air bases around the UK as I possibly can, I've got an Aviation Channel on YouTube called Darren Edwards Aviation,.although I'm probably not allowed to promote it on here.
Thanks for allowing me to join you all on Fighter Control.
Kind regards
Darren

Re: New to FC or not so new? Introduce yourself here.
While not new I never really introduced myself when I joined, now looking to get more involved with the happenings on FC.
I'm Keenan, 19 from the Leuchars area. Along with another local I help manage the RAF Leuchars Spotters facebook group and can be found regularly at Leuchars whenever there's action. I'm more into my photography and building a deeper understanding of in-country military operations.
Also, for now, a CWO Flight Staff Cadet at 661 Volunteer Gliding Squadron where I spend the majority of my weekends getting cadets up gliding (banished to the Winch on medical circumstances - hooray ).
Looking forward to continuing to get to know the various names and characters on here

Hi scorpont
A warm welcome to FC... I like the sound of how you spend your weekends... gliding... I did it a couple of times at Wrekin Gliding Club RAF Cosford back in the 90s once up on a tow line and once up on the winch.
Plenty of interesting people here on FC with a vast amount of knowledge in all things aviation from Serials to Photography.
Look forward to seeing a few of your photos.
Enjoy the forum .
