Hello from Tyneside- new chap.

Post by AMD66 » Sat Nov 10, 2018 10:34 pm

Hello,
I’ll have a go again, I think I tagged onto someone else’s topic yesterday, sorry.
I’m getting back into this after a good few years off. I spend most of my time at Leeming, Otterburn and Spadeadam. I have just found this site an it is great to find out what is going on out and about.

I’m confident I will enjoy, it has already answered the question who was going Into and out of Otterburn last week. Thanks for the welcome.

That's a great place, you should be able to see the "Heads-up & OTT" section now as you've posted 5 times. :)

No, I'm up in the Highlands but have spent many happy days in your neck of the woods.

About 200 miles beyond it!

I walked the full length of Hadrian's Wall from West to East when I was a lot younger, some great pubs on the way that we could camp behind, one morning we were woken-up by a cow - it's entire head was in the tent and it was licking my head. Nice!

The borders are a special part of the world like the highlands. I too have enjoyed a pint or two in fantastic pubs on both sides of the wall but i’m glad to say have avoided your cattle incident.
I love driving the military road next to Hadrians wall on my way to Spadeadam, it has fantastic views.
