It should be just Heads up and Low Fly section, which have the post limit. Can't remember why Low Fly got the limit. Might have been when I set it up I used the Heads up settings.

I can well understand having posting restrictions for new members in some sections but not allowing read only access seems odd and a good way to encourage those new here to make relatively pointless posts to get round the restriction.

blackregs, you've only been a member for 4 days, why not PM one of the Staff team directly to complain how you've been treated?
You will find their details at the bottom of the page.

Before you do that, I can assure you that they had very good reasons to set-up this rule for new members.

Not sure why you have such an issue with the 5 posts minimum? The initial discussion the staff had, it might have been a lot higher. If you read the thread Nighthawk posted, the reasons were laid out there

It is always good to have new members to sahre in this great hobby of ours. However I find it slightly odd when on several occasions, some have jumped in with a somewhat - how can I put it nicely - confrontational rather than accept the terms of the forum and just find their feet. Although it does seem to be a quick way to hitting the 5-post minimum thus opening the doors to full access

Anyway regardless of all that, welcome to all newbies and hoping you all find something of use.

Rule 22 : You cannot access Heads up until you have contributed to five threads in the Heads up section.
